Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Saturday that govt of Pakistan will not impose a ban on any social media.
“But at the same time, we also can’t let anyone insult or spread false information about government organisations or the people working for them,” the premier pointed out in a statement. 
PM Imran Khan took notice of delay in the preparations of social media regulations by PTA( Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) and Ministry of Information Technology. He called for a report from the departments regarding this issue.
PTI government has regretted its decision of banning PUBG and Bigo. It also issued a warning to TikTok. These apps received numerous complaints regarding immoral content. The complaints claimed that it is spoiling young generation.

PTA said that these social media apps are not controlled by local law unlike in many countries where these apps are regulated. The excess of misleading content on social media has caused to receive many complaints. PM Imran Khan said that social media won't be allowed to speak ill against someone.
