PUBG suffers permanent banned
PUBG will remain permanently banned even after Islamabad High Court ordered PTA lift PUBG ban. On July 27, PTA stated that PUBG will remain permanently banned, It said that it has the mandate to decide under Section 37 of the PECA. The section gives it the authority block access to or removes content it finds objectionable.
IHC ordered PTA to lift PUBG ban, but PTA remained persistent and said PUBG will remain permanently banned. The authority had asked the game developers to share data about PUBG sessions, its users in Pakistan and regulatory measures, but no response has been received yet.
Even PM Imran Khan also said that they will not impose any ban on social media. He also said that we will not allow anyone to insult others and create turmoil among people.
PTA said that it took this decision because of numerous complaints regarding this issue. The complaints emphasized that PUBG is spoiling young generation. They are wasting time. It also has severe mental and physical health problems. Even suicides were reported.
