PTA lifted PUBG ban on Thursday after meeting the legal representative of online multiplayer game PUBG. It is one of the most addicting games. 
On July 30, PTA briefed that a meeting was held between PTA and legal representatives of Proxima Beta Pte Ltd (PB). Representatives briefed the PTA authority on response to queries raised by PTA concerning controls to put in place by PB to prevent misuse of the gaming platform.
PTA said that the Authority expressed its satisfaction on measures adopted by PB so far, and emphasized on continued engagement and a comprehensive control mechanism.
The representative of the company appreciated PTA's feedback and assured that the concerns of PTA will be taken into account. The representative requested to unban PUBG.
PTA gave a positive response:
“Keeping in view the positive engagement and response of the company, the authority has decided to unban PUBG.”
PUBG ban was lifted days after Islamabad High Court ordered to unban PUBG. while announcing a reserved verdict on a petition challenging PTA's ban on the game.
Minister of Science and Technology was also against PUBG ban. He also appreciated PTA decision regarding the lifting of PUBG ban.

PUBG was banned due to numerous complaints received by PTA. These complaints emphasized how PUBG spoiled Young minds. It was reported that PUBG affected the physical and mental health of gamers. There was also an issue of time wastage by students. Even suicides were reported.
Some people supported PUBG ban especially parents and teachers. While many hated PUBG ban, themajority of which were students and gamers.
